Karl Urban Talks About Star Trek in Comic-Con 2010 San Diego

As Comic-Con continues, Star Trek actors speak up about the sequel due out in 2012, with Karl Urban being the latest to offer his thoughts on progress of the film.
The rumor that Karl Urban will be Judge Dredd hit the web this week ahead of Comic-Con and Collider got the Dredd’ed details straight from Karl Urban himself. When asked about Judge Dredd, Urban confirmed that he was offered the part by director Pete Travis and is currently in talks to work out a deal. Karl Urban also revealed that Judge Dredd will begin shooting in South Africa in October or November and that he’d be wearing the Dredd mask for the entire film.

Shooting for Star Trek XII will “most likely happen mid next year,” said Urban. “May or June next year.” This contrasts with what Bruce Greenwood said recently about filming beginning in January.
